Sheila Villeneuve

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Villeneuve (nee Rose), on March 28, 2024 surrounded by family.

Beloved mother of Andy (Sheri) and the late Brian. Loving grandmother to Everett, Henry and Kaiden-Rose. Dear sister of Willard (Nicole Cayer), Lyle (Lana Greer), Rodger (Sue) and Richard (Denise). Predeceased by her sister, Shirley, and parents Cecil and Pauline. Dear Aunt to Joni and Ashley.

Sheila was born and raised on Desert Lake Road. She worked at Royal Military College in Kingston for over 20 years, where she met many friends. She was skilled at knitting and often gifted others with her creations. She always ensured that her grandchildren had warm heads and their dolls had handmade clothing. Second only to Sheila’s love for her family and friends was her love of her grey Mustang, which she could often be seen driving around town.

Sheila will be fondly remembered by the many people whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace, reunited with her youngest son, sister and parents. The family would like to thank Dr. Wendy Parulekar and the staff at Kingston General Hospital for years of medical support. As well as the palliative care staff of Providence Care Hospital, who cared for Sheila and her family during the final days of her life.

Visitation will be held at Trousdale Funeral Home, 4374 Mill Street Sydenham on April 4, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral service will follow. Memorial donations can be made to Providence Care Hospital or Canadian Cancer Society.
