Passed away peacefully at Trillium Ridge, Kingston, on Sunday, June 10th, 2018, in his 77th year, with his loving companion, Sandra Sigsworth by his side.
Born on Jan. 16th, 1942, Alfred is survived by his brother Murray, and his two nieces, of Sundry, Alberta.
Predeceased by his parents, Clifford Deyo and Myrtle Murphy: sisters, Diane, Marie; brother Ron; and Alfred’s wife, Georgette Rose (Mountenry).
Alfred worked as an advertising sales representative for the Picton Gazette from 1971 – 1974.
As a mature student, he received his Ontario Secondary Diploma from the Queen Elizabeth Collegiate and Vocational Institute on June 27th, 1991. The following year, March of 1992, he received his Certificate of Qualification from the Royal Military College of Canada as a dietitian.
In later years, country music and singing became Alfred’s main hobby with Hank Williams being his idol. He played guitar and the keyboard, wrote some songs, playing and singing at many local jams.
Alfred also enjoyed, dancing, woodcarving, fishing, as well as driving for Amey’s Taxi in Kingston.
In keeping with Alfred’s wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
An small service will be held at Trillium Ridge, on June 29th, at 1 pm.
