It is with broken hearts, that Gary’s family announces his passing at KGH on Monday, April 2nd, 2018. Gary was fortunate to have two loves, predeceased by his first wife Sandra Davison, survived by his second wife Sue Davison, sons Curtis and Christopher, daughter-in-laws Sue Anne and Colleen, step-daughter Meg Cashman and partner Steve Quimet. Much loved grandchildren Drew, Cole, Bryce, Catherine, John Angus, Lachlan and Charlotte; siblings Joyce (Reg), Roger (Shirley), Rick (Janet), Dianne, Mike (Pam), Debbie (Dan), Cathy (Don), Kevin (Jo-Anne), sister-in-laws Lorna, Debby Vieira (John), Virginia Badour (Ron), brother-in-laws: Mike Carrigan (Ruth), Bill Carrigan (Leighanne), Brian Carrigan (Susan), Stan Horton, Jerry (Earla) Horton, Ron (Donna) Horton, Tony (Colleen) Horton, predeceased by brothers Doug, Randy and Bob, brother-in-law Ted Carrigan, nephew Chet Campbell, parents Velma and John Davison. Loved by many nieces, nephews and a friend to many. Gary lived in South Frontenac most of his life where he was a volunteer fire fighter for 40 years, eight of which he served as Fire Chief. He was a mason by trade and spent 24 years with Correctional Services of Canada working as an instructor/supervisor. Gary first served as a councillor for the Township of South Frontenac and then moved on to become Mayor for two terms. He was a loyal member of the Sydenham Royal Canadian Legion 496 and the Sydenham Liars Club. Dedicated fastball and hockey coach over the years to his sons and many others throughout the community. Family will receive visitors at Trousdale’s Funeral Home in Sydenham on Friday, April 6th 2018 from 11am-8pm. Saturday, April 7th, 2018 there will be a family only service at Trousdales at 11am followed by a reception open to family and friends at the Sydenham Legion 12:30-4:30.
