DIRKSEN, Maas

In his 91st year in the ICU at the Kingston General Hospital on November 3rd, 2017. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years Shirley (nee Cleary). Loving father of John, Frank (Karen), Janice (Jason Leonard), Everett (Aimanda), cherished Poppy of grandchildren, Ellen, Tyler, Justin, Caitlin, Wyatt, Daniel, and arriving soon MacRae Maas, great grandchildren Alexa, Ashley, Barrington, Maxwell and Ivy. Predeceased by parents Jan and Teuntji (vanGarderen), and sister Alberta Tollenaar. Remembered by nieces Mina and Josephina, nephew Theunis, and many cousins in Holland especially G. Jan and Teus vanGarderen whom he thought of as brothers. Family and friends will be received at the TROUSDALE FUNERAL HOME in Sydenham on Friday, November 10, 2017 between the hours of 5-8pm for a Celebration of Maas’s Life. A Private interment of the urn will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
