CAMPBELL, MARIE ELIZABETH
June 23, 1928 – April 24, 2019

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Marie Elizabeth Margaret Campbell, in her 91st year, passed away peacefully at Fairmount Home on April 24, 2019.

She was predeceased by her parents Garnet Kenehan and Catherine Ann Cousineau, brothers Gerald (Nora & Trudy) Kenehan and Herbert Kenehan.

Survived by daughters Judy (Terry) Campbell, Ann (Larry) Kelsey, grandchildren Chris (Amanda) Campbell, Laura, Kaitlyn and Kyle Kelsey and great grandchildren Quinten, Ashlin, Cyndi, Jesse, Alexis, Grayson and Eleanor Marie. Nieces Sheila (Brian) and Janice and nephews Paul and Chris, especially Jean (Raymond), who shared her love of auction and yard sales, Jennifer and Edan, Tanya (Paul), Elana Marie, Lisa (Steven), Brandon (Caitlin) ,Shyla & Isabel and Michelle who shared her love of Sydenham Lake.

Marie enjoyed 40 years of teaching within the Algonquin, Lakeshore District School Board, where she taught and worked with many unique and amazing individuals. She set her goal of obtaining her BA and succeeded through Queens University, in her early forties.

She enjoyed life and filled it with good friends, lots of laughter and random acts of kindness. Her friends and family remember many enjoyable times with Marie at her home on Sydenham Lake.

She will be missed and remember for her storytelling, strong spirit, honesty, positive attitude and the face of adversity, generosity, wit and the pride of a “job well done”.

The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the caring staff at Brook’s Landing and Fairmount Home for the exceptional care of our mother.

If life was a job, Mama and G-Ma, you did it well.

Family and friends will be received at the Trousdale Funeral Home in Sydenham on Sunday April 28, 2019 between the hours of 1-3pm and 6-8pm. Liturgy of the word will be held Monday April 29, 2019 at 11am in the funeral home. Rite of committal with prayers to follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, in Bedford. For those who wish; memorial donations can be made by cheque to Fairmount Home in memory of Marie.
