It is with broken hearts, that Bob’s family announces his peaceful passing at home on Thursday, December 28, 2017.  Bob is survived by his wife and soul mate of more than 49 years, Lorna, sons Paul and Stuart, daughter-in-law Kelly and much loved grandson Blaze (Tina); Siblings Joyce (Reg), Roger (Shirley), Gary (Sue), Rick (Janet), Dianne, Mike (Pam), Debbie (Dan), Cathy (Don), Kevin (Jo-Anne), brothers-in-law Dennis (Maria), Bob (Mary); predeceased by brothers Doug and Randy, sisters-in-law Sandi and Brenda and nephew, Chetty. Loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a friend to many including his poker buddies and the many employees at Alcan where he worked for 36 years. Bob will be well remembered for his passion for life, love of fishing, hunting and the Montreal Canadians.

Special mention of thanks to family members and dear friends who provided support in particular near the end of Bob’s illness. We truly appreciate you for everything you did for us.

Much gratitude for the support received from Home Care, St. Elizabeth and Para-Med, in particular from Megan, Amanda, Kaitlyn and Natalie.  We could not have gotten through this time without your caring assistance.

Friends and family can pay their respects at TROUSDALE FUNERAL HOME in Sydenham, Ontario on January 4 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. A private service for immediate family will be held on January 5 at 11:00 a.m.  Following the service friends and family are invited to a celebration of Bob’s life at the Golden Links Hall in Harrowsmith. Internment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations  can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society or the ALS Society.
