Roxanna Denniston-Stewart Obituary

Roxanna (Roxy) Jean Denniston-Stewart

On August 2nd, 2019, Roxy passed away in her sleep at age 63 while traveling and living in the United Kingdom with the love of her life, Peter.

Roxy was born and raised in White Lake, Ontario and later lived in Guelph, ON, Bournemouth, England, Charleville, Australia, Windsor, ON, Sydenham, ON, and, most recently, in Sussex, England.

Family members already miss Roxy dearly. Her devoted husband of almost 30 years, Peter, sons, Rob and Kevin, step-children, Nancy (Wesley) and Jamie (Rachel), and grandson, Alex.  Her sisters, Beth (Lloyd) and Ann (Jim) as well as the entire Stewart family.  She was so special to her nieces and nephews as well.

The Queen’s community remembers Roxy with great fondness and respect.

Roxy lived each day of her life with joy and love. She enjoyed so many things - theatre, music, cooking, baking, gardening, walking, skiing and traveling - just to name a few!  Her family and friends will miss her laughter and warmth.

A private family interment will be held in Sydenham.

There will be a Celebration of Life with a Reception to follow on Friday, August 16th at 2:00 p.m. at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts, 390 King Street West, Kingston, ON, K7L 3N6.  Parking is available onsite. Everyone is welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to establish a Queen’s University fund, in Roxy’s name, to provide financial support to students at the Bader International Student Centre in Sussex, England.  For information, visit: www.givetoqueens.ca/roxyd
