Passed peacefully in his 94th year at Springdale Country Manor near Peterborough, Ontario. Loving husband of 63 years to the late Margaret (Hamilton) and loving father to Patricia Doyle (Barry). Lovingly remembered as Grampy to his grandchildren Adam Doyle (Mihail) and Meghan Brisson (Marc-Andre) and as Grampy Doug to his great grandchildren Jack, Ben, and Nell. Doug is predeceased by his parents Robert and Stella Kellar. Loving brother to Ernest Kellar (the late Ruth). Doug is also predeceased by his sister Valrie Godfrey (the late Ray), and the late Rubena Kellar.

Doug retired as Fire Chief for the Loughborough Township Fire Department (Sydenham) in 1990, and retired from Frontenac County in 1992 subsequently enjoying almost 30 years of retirement. A private family service will be held during interment at Sydenham cemetery.
