It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Douglas P. Young on August 3rd, 2021 surrounded by his family.   Beloved husband of Karen F Young and loving  father of John, Giles,  Tony (Chris), Ivan (Tammy), Martin (Stephanie), Paula (Wayne), and step father to Brian Bush.   Loving grandfather of JD (Ashlee),  Amanda (Brandon),  Jessica, Travis, Alex, Emmalina, Katie (Hunter), Lily, Allison (Matt), Samantha (Kyler), Michael, Brandon, Xyler and Jennifer.   Loving great grampa of Ava, Mason, Benny, Kylie, Denver, Wyatt, Corbin, Wyatt B.  Dear brother of Clarence(Barb), Linda (Grant), Sandra (David), Doris (Ron), William (Wendy), Carolyn (Dayle),  Loretta (Hal), sister in law to Olga Young and brother in law Neil Stonness.  Predeceased by his parents Sandford and Emma Young,  brother Carl, sister Mary,  sister-in-law Judy, brother-in-law Charlie and daughter-in-law Barbara.  Doug will be sadly missed by the Caird family.   A grave side service will be held on August 16th, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at  the Wilmer Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Perth Road Sunday School Hall, 5614 Perth Road Crescent, Perth Road, ON.  COVID restrictions will be in place.  For those who wish; donations may be made by cheque to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Doug.
