Elaine Ritchie

Elaine Frances Ritchie was born in Kingston,Ontario on May 26, 1945 to the late Edgar Clinton VanKoughnett and the late Mildred Hazel Tozer. She departed this earthly life at the age of 75 on July 18, 2020 to be with her heavenly Father.

Elaine was an avid gardener, golfer and seamstress in her heyday.

She was a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and devoted Aunt to her many nieces and nephews and was the grandmother figure that her niece and nephews, Andrew, Darrah and Alan Lahey never had. She filled that spot to perfection and leaves them great memories of earlier times when they were young. Physical distance eventually came between them, but she was always number one in their hearts. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard, and sister, Cheryl, of Kingston.

Elaine leaves two sons to cherish their fond memories:  Robert James Morgan (Kellie) of Sydenham and David Matthew Morgan (Lori) of Cornwall, four grandchildren, Ryan Morgan, Matthew, Jesse and Haylee Morgan, two great-  grandsons , Ryerson and Bennett, brother Alf VanKoughnett (Charlotte) and sisters, Millie Clow (Bruce) and Karen Lahey (Dan) 

Last, but not least a very special thanks to Amey and her staff at Brooks Landing for being such wonderful and patient caregivers to Elaine over the last two years. She really was an exceptional person and will be truly missed.
