On April 23rd, in his 96th year, surrounded by family, Eldon passed peacefully to spend eternity with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Beloved husband of Mildred (nee Hoffman) for 62 years. Loving father (father-in-law) to Brenda (Michael) Ben and Joanne (Les) Bell. Proud grandfather of Sarah Ben and Michelle (Michael) Gropp and Geoffrey Bell. Lovingly remembered by siblings Wilma Snider (late Floyd), Allan (Donna) Kay; and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Rev. C. W. and Nora Kay; sister Joyce (late Ray) Elgie. The family will receive friends at HARROWSMITH FREE METHODIST CHURCH, in Harrowsmith on Friday April 27th from 6:30 – 9pm and on Saturday April 28th from 1-2pm. A celebration of Eldon’s life will take place on Saturday April 28th at 2pm at HARROWSMITH FREE METHODIST CHURCH followed by a reception. Interment will take place at Hannon Free Methodist Cemetery, 1957 Rymal Road E, Hannon, ON, on Monday April 30th at 2pm, a reception to follow the interment. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kingsview Free Methodist Church, Harrowsmith Free Methodist Church or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the wonderful care Eldon received from the staff of the Waterford-Kingston; Trillium Nursing Home; and KGH Kidd 6.
