December 13, 1935 – June 18, 2020

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Gail Patricia Sands surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted and loving wife of Alfred Sands for 67 years, a much loved and cherished mother of 7 children; Rick, Kathy (Larry), Brian(Corrine), Robin and Trish (Eddie). Predeceased by sons Gary Allan and Stephen. Adored by 12 grandchildren and their families, including 11 great grandchildren. Special thanks to KGH ICU unit Dr. Messenger and his team, along with Cathy Macgillvery, for the special care that they gave Gail in her final hours.

Friends will be received at the TROUSDALE FUNERAL HOME, 4374 Mill Street, Sydenham on Monday from 2:00pm-5:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 23, 2020 at 11am for family only. Everyone is invited to follow Gail on her last journey from the Trousdale Funeral Home in Sydenham to Sand Hill Cemetery. We need to respect the 2 metre distancing rules as well. For those wishing, memorial donations to the Ongwanada Resource Centre or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. 

Thank you everyone for your kind words and messages. We truly appreciate it during this very difficult time. We will miss you Mom/Nanny/Gail. Until we meet again. As she would always say "bye for now" xoxoxo
