Tuttle, Gale Darlene (Braithwaite)
January 26, 1953 - March 19, 2021
The Tuttle and Braithwaite families are extremely saddened to let you know of the sudden passing of Gale Tuttle on March 19, 2021, after a short but very painful battle with cancer. Her internal enemy which was cancer finally claimed its victory over her. We ask ourselves many times, why, why, her, but there is no real answer. She like so many others before her did not deserve this. She was very caring about family and worried how everyone was doing and if they were healthy. She was a delight to talk with and even without words it only took one look from her to make you feel special and warm, you knew that she loved you and cared for you. She was a wonderful wife, mother of two great children, oldest of six other siblings and a grandma to five adoring grandchildren. She fulfilled a lifelong dream last year by travelling to the east coast with the love of her life Lee, and of course her dogs. She loved those dogs and absolutely spoiled them rotten. Some people commented that when they leave this earth, they wanted to come back as one of Gale’s dogs. For us she was our rock, our light, our reason to be the best that we could be. So as the direct members of her family, we share with you our loss and grief. Our lives will not always be sad, and not always happy, but they will always have love. She has left this world but will never leave our hearts. Survived by loving husband Lee, her children Laurie Trousdale-Gilpin and Gord Trousdale (Elizabeth). Grandma to Jacob, Bryson, Christopher, Lincoln and Kennedy. Survived by her siblings Elizabeth White (Shane), Diane Gibson (Roger), Jim Braithwaite (Charlotte), Barry Braithwaite (Linda), Mark Braithwaite and Ron Braithwaite. Also survived by brother in law Larry Tuttle, sister in law Carole Tuttle and mother in law Betty Tuttle. Predeceased by her parents Betty and James Braithwaite. Friends and family will be received at the Trousdale Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 for visitation between the 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. Services at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with internment to follow at the Harrowsmith Cemetery. COVID-19 protocols to be observed. For who wish, donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Gale.
