Peacefully at home after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family on April 9, 2019 in her 71st year.  Gert leaves behind the love of her life Gary of 46 years.  Proud mother to Elaine Gemmill (Chris Nicholson), Ellen Mulville (Brad). Cherished Grandmother to Darcie, Reanna, Andrew, Victoria, Branden and Samantha.

Gert’s entire world revolved around her family. She is survived by special sister and best friend Mary, Martin (Carol), Corrie Splinter (Gerry), Carla, Ann Lupton (Gary), Carla, Casey (Rosie), Francis (Kathie), Bernadette Redden (Duane), Jack (Trevor) and Jean Bedore (Jim).

Gert will also never be forgotten by her numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.

Family and friend will be received at Trousdales Funeral Home in Sydenham on Friday, April 12, 2019 between the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9. Mass and Christian burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Railton on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11:00 am Rite of committal with prayers to follow at Harrowsmith Cemetery
