It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hector on March 23, 2024. Hector was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by the love of his life and soulmate of 50 years, Vera, daughter Krista (Patrick), son Steve(Emmy), grandchildren Hector, Ryan, Gracie, Lily, and Edie. Sister Carolin(Greg), nephews Harry, Oliver, and Ian.

Hector was well known in the community, a homegrown Kingston old boy, a renowned top fuel drag racer, a business owner.

Anyone that spent time in Hector's transmission repair shop can attest to his quirky and open nature, how you felt more welcome than you expected. He was a storyteller, always something to say. And to us he was a husband, he was dad, he was Pa.

Our hearts are heavy with the loss of such a big life, but with memories too.

Memories of things mended and repaired, of a man who made a difference in the world with his two hands and good heart.

The family will hold a private celebration of life in his honour at a later date.
