John "Jack" Steacy Obituary

John “Jack” Alexander Steacy

(1943-2020)

On August 11, 2020 Jack, in his 77th year passed peacefully into God’s hands with his cousin Mary Bird at his side, after being diagnosed with lung cancer the last week of July.

Jack was born at Hotel Dieu Hospital on September 16, 1943, and raised in Seeley’s Bay, son of William  John Steacy and Mary Eva McLellan, beloved brother of Leona, Father Bill and Bob. Lisa Marie and Crystal were special daughters of Jack.

According to his wishes, Mass of Christian Burial with immediate family was celebrated at St. Barnaby’s Church, Brewer’s Mills, followed by interment in the Parish Cemetery. An “extended family” Mass will be celebrated in September at Camel Chute on the Madawaska River, (Centennial Lake).

The family wish to thank the nurses and doctors on Connell 10 and Kidd 9 in the Cancer Clinic, for their going the extra mile for Jack now and during the over twenty-five months he was hospitalized with cancer and other medical problems over the past thirteen years. In particular, we wish to thank Mary Bird for walking with him during these past years. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Barnaby’s Church. Online condolences may be made at www.trousdalefuneralhome.com

May Jack rest in peace with The Father, The Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
