Mona Berniece (Kennedy) Orser

Peacefully, as another workday drew to its close, and with family around her, Mona passed away at the Fairmount Home, Glenburnie, in her 90th year. 

Predeceased in 2019 by her loving husband of 67 years, Elwood.  Dedicated mom of four, Lloyd (Tammie), Neil (Pat), Grant (Bonnie) and Faye.  Cherished Grandma Orser of Beverly, Brandon (Melanie), Dana, Taylor (Logan), Joel (Tiegan), Shannon (Trent Desrosiers), Kimberly (Kody Ribey), Katie, Graham (Kaitlyn), Owen, Amanda (Jake Twort), Sarah and Courtney.  Honoured Great Grandmother of fourteen little ones under the age of seven. 

Mona is survived and well-remembered by an active extended family:  her younger sister Marilyn Votary (Rev. Robert), sisters-in-law Ruth Campbell (late Leonard) and Mary Abrams (Wayne), a close group of cousins and the nieces and nephews of the Orser, Campbell, Abrams and Votary families.  Mona was predeceased by parents Kenneth and Mary Kennedy, brother-in-law Gordon Orser (late Jean), nephew Robert Orser and infant grandson Jeffery Orser. 

Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a visitation at the Harrowsmith Free Methodist Church, 3876 Harrowsmith Road, on Thursday, December 1st from 1 – 3 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at the Harrowsmith Free Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2nd, 2022.  Interment at Sydenham Cemetery immediately following.  (Facemasks may be worn by personal choice.)

The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Fairmount Home for their compassion and care to mom over the year-and-a-half that she resided there. 

Those desiring are welcome to direct donations (by cheque only please) in memory of Mona to Sydenham Holiness Church or Sydenham Holiness Camp, which have been decades-long beneficiaries of Mona’s time and work in various roles.
