Phyllis Eileen Pickel
May 24,1926 - November 1, 2021
It is with a sad heart that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother Phyllis (Phyl) at home on November 1st, at the age of 95.
Mom was a committed follower of Christ, faithfully and joyfully serving Him and touching everyone she met with His love. She was the happiest when she was engaged in conversation about her Lord, mentoring and praying constantly, especially for her Lord’s beloved land, Israel.
Mom was gifted at so many things, she was an excellent cook, accomplished seamstress, and for the past many years she enjoyed knitting wool socks for family and friends across Canada. She was a wonderful and caring mother, who showed us her love each and every day. She loved to read the newspaper to keep up with world news and events. She loved and was excellent at crosswords and word games. She really enjoyed watching animal shows, wheel of fortune and jeopardy. It was amazing what a broad range of interests she had. Mom had the biggest heart and a very giving nature. She was a remarkable women who will be missed by her family and all the friends she made throughout her life. We love and miss you mom.
Left behind, her five children, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and preceded in death by her husband Thomas Reid Pickel.
