Young, Walter Carl “Bud”
37 year employee of Dupont Kingston Works
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Bud at his home on March 12, 2020 after a lengthy battle with kidney disease. He leaves behind his loving wife Velma (nee Smith) of 63 years. He will be deeply missed by children Julian (Juanita), Ray (Cindy), Darlene (Kevin), Karen (Tom). Loving grampa to Stefanie (Sean), Ben (Karen), Amanda, Brady, Sophie (Kyle), Katie, Dylan, Stella. Great grandpa to Sawyer and Andi. Predeceased by grandson Ian, parents William and Sadie Young (nee Gipson) and four sisters and five brothers. Remembered fondly by a large number of extended family and friends.
A private family service was held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Trousdale Funeral Home in Sydenham with Pastor Bob Votary officiating. Interment took place at the Wilmer Cemetery. For those who wish; memorial donations may be made to the Sydenham and District Lions Club in memory of Bud.
