Loving husband of Kathy (Pixley).

Devoted father of Corey (Melanie) and Melissa Vandewal (Glenn).

Cherished grampa to Kaitlyn Closs, Megan Closs, Reagan Vandewal, Carter Closs, Tristan Chestnut, Gavin, Ainsley and Stepanie Myers.

Son in law of Keitha Pixley (late Douglas).

Extended family Colin Vandewal and Mary Closs.

Best Friends with Dale Babcock.

Predeceased by parents Floyd and Martha, sisters Sandra and Diane, brothers Francis and Phillip.

Survived by sister Betty and Karen.

Brother in law of Dennis Pixley, Lorne (Chris) Pixley, Carl (Jeannette) Pixley, Paul, Karen (Eric) Gagnon.

After a long fight with CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease) he took his last breath in the loving arms of wife Kathy with his children holding his hands.

Wayne will always be remembered for his countless hours devoted to his community and his commitment to baseball whether it be coaching or umpiring.

Family and friends will be received at the Golden Links Hall at 4186 Colebrook Road Harrowsmith.

Friday February 20th from 5 P.M. – 9 P.M. and Sunday February 22 from 11 A.M. – 12 P.M. with service to follow.

In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to be made to the Golden Links Hall or South Frontenac Community Services Food Bank.
