PURVIS, Lois May (nee: Winter)

1936 – 2017

Peacefully after a brief illness on August 22, 2017, at Providence Care Hospital, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Robert William Purvis, loving mother of Tom (Janet), Larry (Cheryl), and Ken (Elizabeth), cherished nanny of Elizabeth and Charlotte. Survived by her brothers William and Richard “Butch” (Barbara) Winter, beloved in-laws Bruce and Grace Johnston. Lois will always be remembered by her other family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at Cataraqui Cemetery. Celebration of a Life well lived will be at a later date. Lois was a 19 year employee (retired) of Bayridge Secondary School, where an annual bursary is awarded in her name. In lieu of flowers donations to the UHKF – Cancer would be greatly acknowledged by the family.
